We offer flexible full-day and half-day sessions to suit your family's needs. All sessions include freshly cooked meals, snacks, and access to all facilities including our Sensory Room and Studio Room.
Babies & Young Toddlers
The Nest and Leaves rooms. Full or half day sessions with a dedicated key worker, free-flow garden access, and Parentzone updates.
Toddlers
Caterpillar room. Full or half day sessions with Montessori practical life activities, sensory exploration, and early learning foundations.
Preschool
Sunny, Rainbow, and Butterfly rooms. Full or half day sessions with the complete Montessori & EYFS curriculum, extracurricular clubs, and school readiness programme.

Government-Funded Childcare Hours
Buckingham Montessori accepts government-funded childcare hours. You could receive free childcare, depending on your eligibility.
15 Hours Universal
All 3 and 4 year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week (570 hours per year), regardless of family income.
15 Hours Disadvantaged
Additional funding for eligible children aged 2 and over, including families on Universal Credit, looked-after children, and children with special educational needs.
30 Hours Extended
Working parents of 3 and 4 year olds may be eligible for an additional 15 hours, giving your child 30 hours of free childcare per week.
Tax-Free Childcare
For every £8 you pay into your childcare account, the government adds £2, up to £2,000 per child per year. Use this to cover any hours not covered by funded entitlement.
How to Claim Your Funded Hours
- 1Apply online through the government's Childcare Choices service at childcarechoices.gov.uk
- 2Receive your eligibility code HMRC issues an 11-digit code that proves eligibility
- 3Share your code with us we'll apply the funded hours to your account
- 4Reconfirm every 3 months to keep your entitlement active
Important: If a child has separated parents, only one parent can hold the code. Company directors or self-employed parents may need to provide evidence of income.

We welcome children from 3 months to 5 years. Our six rooms are organised by age group: The Nest for babies (3 months – 2 years), Leaves for young toddlers (18 months – 2 years), Caterpillars for toddlers (2 – 3 years), and Sunny, Rainbow & Butterfly for preschoolers (2 years 8 months – 5 years).
Doors open at 8:00am, Monday to Friday, until 6:00pm. We’re open all year round except bank holidays and a short Christmas closure.
19-25 Buckingham Road, Edgware, London HA8 6LY. We’re a 10-minute walk from Edgware station and well-connected by bus.
Edgware station on the Northern line, around 10 minutes on foot. Multiple bus routes also stop nearby on Station Road.
Free parking is available on Buckingham Road and surrounding streets. We don’t have a dedicated car park, but most parents find space nearby with no trouble.
Yes. All meals are freshly cooked on-site in our kitchen, which holds an Environmental Health grade Five rating, the highest possible. Your child receives breakfast, a morning snack, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. We cater for allergies and dietary requirements.
Yes. We accept 15-hour universal funding (all 3-4 year olds), 15-hour disadvantaged funding (eligible 2-4 year olds), 30-hour extended funding (working parents of 3-4 year olds), and Tax-Free Childcare payments.

Just yourselves. Visits take around 30 to 45 minutes. You’ll meet the team, see the rooms, and have time to ask questions. No paperwork required on the day.
We follow Ofsted-mandated ratios as a minimum and often exceed them. Babies (under 2): 1:3. Toddlers (2-3): 1:4. Preschool (3-5): 1:8. Every child has an assigned key worker who knows them individually. We have over 50 staff members across the nursery.
Every child has three settling-in sessions before they start. These are short, supervised visits where your child spends time in their room with their key worker. You’re welcome to stay nearby. The process is designed to make the transition gentle and positive for both you and your child.
We use the Parentzone app to send you real-time updates throughout the day, including photos, activities, meals, nappies, and milestones. You’ll always know how your child’s day is going, and our door is always open for face-to-face conversations.
Yes. We have qualified SENCO staff and an award-winning sensory room (recognised by Harrow Borough). We create personalised plans, make specialist referrals when needed, and work closely with families to ensure consistent support.
Our Preston Road branch is currently being refurbished and exciting updates are coming soon. Our Edgware location at 19-25 Buckingham Road is fully operational and accepting new enrolments.
